NACFB Commercial Lender Awards raises £30k for Air Ambulances UK

Tally doubles thanks to incredible Market Financial Solutions donation on the night

The NACFB’s Commercial Lender Awards have delivered a remarkable fundraising total of £30,000 for Air Ambulances UK, thanks to an extraordinary gesture from Market Financial Solutions.

The trade body had initially pledged to match all donations up to £10,000 on the night of the awards. With £4,940 raised via cash contributions from attendees, the NACFB elected to donate the full £10,000 match, bringing the combined total to £14,940. In a stunning show of generosity, Market Financial Solution’s CEO Paresh Raja announced on the evening that the company would double all donations, raising the final total to £30,000.

Paresh Raja, CEO of Market Financial Solutions, said: “One of the best things about events like these is that, on top of celebrating the success that we have experienced as an industry over the past year, we are able to come together and support some amazing causes and charities. The NACFB Commercial Lender Awards is a perfect example, and I’m delighted that we were able to support Air Ambulances UK at this year’s awards – a hugely worthwhile cause. A big thank you must go to everyone who donated on the night, as well as the NACFB team for organising such a wonderful event.”

The NACFB chose Air Ambulances UK as its charity partner after learning how the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance had directly supported a member of the lending community. With an initial target of £15,000, the campaign has significantly surpassed expectations. An Enthuse page remains live for those wishing to contribute further to this vital cause.

Commenting on the partnership, NACFB CEO Jim Higginbotham said: “Coming together as a community to support such a vital cause has been incredibly humbling. Air Ambulances UK carries out lifesaving work every single day, and their heartfelt plea on the night touched everyone in the room.

Commenting on the partnership, NACFB CEO Jim Higginbotham added: “We are deeply grateful to Paresh Raja and his entire team for their remarkable generosity, which doubled the impact of every donation and demonstrated the true spirit of our community. A heartfelt thank you also goes to everyone who gave on the night – your contributions have helped us achieve something truly special to support this essential service and its critical missions.”

Commenting on the amount raised, Joe Harper, corporate partnerships manager at Air Ambulances UK, said: “To put it in context, the amount raised by the NACFB community will cover the cost of seven missions, but it will have even more impact than that. It will not only help us save more lives, but also help us to support our patients as well as their family members after their life changing incidents.”

In addition to fundraising, the NACFB aims to increase awareness of the essential pre-hospital critical care provided by air ambulance services. Across the UK, air ambulances are dispatched more than 107 times daily, delivering emergency medical care to individuals experiencing life-threatening or life-changing events.

Over the past five years, the NACFB community has raised well over £100,000 for good causes, including The Newman Holiday Trust, Tommy’s, and Young Lives vs Cancer (formerly CLIC Sargent)
