Technology Finance Forum

According to the Department for International Trade, our technology industry is the third largest in the world. It lies at the heart the UK economy, underpinning most other sectors. From the established Cambridge-based businesses to thousands of start-ups this industry is expanding quickly, and it needs investment to be successful.

In this forum we hear from industry expert Kevin Flowerday, head of technology finance at Shawbrook Bank, on where the market is heading; its opportunities and challenges. The aim is to give Member brokers a broad understanding of the sector so that they may be sufficiently knowledgeable and equipped to help SME technology clients with their commercial funding needs.

Simon Ward, specialist finance account manager at headline sponsor InterBay Commercial will then provide an overview of how these businesses are using different types of finance to grow their operations and develop new products, and explain how brokers can get in on the action.

Thereafter, there will be roundtable discussions with all the sponsoring lenders – InterBay Commercial, Shawbrook Bank and Funding Circle – for brokers to find out more about the specific types of funding, rates, terms and borrowing criteria.
